Key Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Laundry Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and monitoring industrial washers, dryers, dry-cleaning machines, pressing machines, and folding equipment
- Selecting and using correct machine programs for different linen and fabric types
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised laundry workspace
- Packing, labelling, and delivering clean linen to relevant departments
- Inspecting linen and garments for quality before, during, and after processing
- Ensuring high standards during pressing and folding stages
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Reporting hazards, faults, or equipment issues promptly
