Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Inspecting vehicle condition including tires, brakes, lights, cold storage, and safety equipment
- Performing brake adjustments and basic preventive maintenance
- Conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Performing emergency roadside repairs when required
- Recording cargo details, distance travelled, fuel usage, and hours of service
- Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch
- Tarping cargo and ensuring load safety and security
- Maintaining compliance with safety and transportation regulations
