Job Description
Pacific Paving LTD is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to support industrial and construction operations at its Mississauga facility. Roles & Responsibilities
As a Welder, your duties will include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications and technical documents
- Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, manuals, and procedures
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment
- Performing shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Examining completed welds to ensure they meet required standards
- Operating flame-cutting and brazing equipment
- Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal components
- Determining weldability of materials such as aluminum alloys and steel
- Performing minor repairs and adjustments on welding and related equipment
- Diagnosing equipment faults using computerized and testing tools
- Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
- Performing repair work on heavy trucks and industrial machinery

Technical Knowledge & Skills
Candidates should have experience or working knowledge of:
