Job Description
Service Stream Limited is currently seeking motivated and reliable Meter Readers to join our team servicing Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs. This role involves walking assigned neighbourhoods to accurately read and record utility meters.
No previous experience is required. Full training is provided, and an immediate start is available. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, and contributing to essential community services.

Responsibilities
As a Meter Reader, your responsibilities include:
- Accurately reading and recording allocated meter routes
- Walking designated neighbourhoods safely and efficiently
- Uploading and downloading route data using a hand-held device
- Meeting daily productivity and accuracy targets
- Representing Service Stream and its clients professionally
- Complying with all safety standards and procedures
- Communicating regularly with the office support team
- Working independently while contributing to team outcomes

Requirements
The company has outlined the following requirements:
- Current valid driver’s licence
- Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of walking, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in most weather conditions
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
- Willingness to travel up to or more than 45 minutes each way
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
