Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods:

Plan and adjust travel routes using GPS and navigation systems to optimize fuel efficiency
Load and unload cargo carefully and securely
Conduct regular vehicle inspections (tires, brakes, lights, and equipment)
Perform minor repairs and handle roadside emergencies when needed
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel usage, distance traveled, and working hours
Complete documentation such as inspection reports and bills of lading
Follow all safety and transportation regulations
Collaborate with team members and support efficient operations

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following:

Language: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: No prior experience required (training provided)

Certifications & Licenses:

Valid Class 1 or A Driver’s License
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Additional Skills:

Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Good communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with transport documentation is an asset

Work Conditions

This role involves hands-on and physically demanding tasks:

On-site work only (no remote option)
Long driving hours, including challenging routes such as mountain driving
Handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working in a fast-paced and high-responsibility environment
Use of protective gear (hard hat, gloves, safety boots)
